Host Home: The individual lives with a caregiver (Host Home Provider) in the provider's private home, receiving personalized support in a family-like setting.
Personal Care Alternative (PCA): Individuals live on their own and receive periodic support from KAAUM staff while maintaining their independence. Alternatively, individuals with exceptional needs may live in a staffed home with 24/7 support.
Yes! Individuals can choose from among the living arrangements that they qualify for. Qualification is based on personal need and service eligibility.
We work closely with individuals, their families, and their support teams to find the best housing option that matches their needs and preferences.
Our providers offer support with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, medication management, transportation, and more. The level of support varies depending on individual needs.

Yes, we provide one on one Day Program services as needed. However, we do encourage individuals to engage in group services as much as possible! One on one services are typically reserved for individuals with exceptional medical or behavioral needs.
No, we do not provide 'specialized habilitation' or any other in-facility programs at this time.
Yes! All activities offered by KAAUM's Day Program include transportation to and from the activity (for the individual in services).
Our group program is typically conducted four days a week, Monday to Thursday, for about 6 hours each day. Group programs usually start between 8-9am and end between 3-4pm. Note that program schedules can vary and depend on individual needs.
Services may be funded through Medicaid waivers, private pay, or other funding sources. We can help you get in touch with your local CCB, who can guide you through the options.
